In 2024, thanks to supporters like you, we provided over 1,500 shares of fresh fruits and vegetables to community members facing food insecurity through our Food Box Program, and we saw over $16,500 in Double Up Food Bucks earned at our market.
In 2024, Schenectady Greenmarket was awarded a $250,000 Farmers Market Promotion Program (FMPP) grant—the largest funding commitment in our history—to be distributed over three years. These funds would have allowed us to strengthen our market operations, enhance vendor and customer diversity, and expand food access programs for food-insecure families. On June 24, 2025, we received an official termination letter of our grant due to its emphasis on promoting Diversity Equity and Inclusion at our market.
We need your help now more than ever community! Our goal is to raise $83,350—the equivalent of one year of the funding we would have received from the FMPP grant—to sustain our vital programs.

Under “Raise Money,” select, “Raise money for a nonprofit”
